Minutes of Meeting for Worship for Business

Concord (NH) Monthly Meeting of the Religious Society of Friends

11th Month 11, 2007

(As approved 12/09/2007)

Concord (NH) Monthly Meeting gathered in a regularly called Meeting for Worship for Business at the Merrimack Valley Day Care Center in Concord, NH. Friends present were Lois Booth, Graham P. Chynoweth, Ruth Heath, Rich Kleinschmidt (recording clerk), Jay Smith, Sara Smith (clerk), Kathy Urie.

The meeting was opened by the clerk with a period of worshipful silence.

11.1  Minutes.  The circulated minutes of 10/14 were revised and approved.

11.2  Memorial.  We noted with sadness the passing of attender Mimi Cameron.  Mimi’s memorial was a joint service led by the clerk of our Meeting and the pastor of First Congregational.

11.3  Housing Committee.  The Meeting has received a letter of intent from AMTP.  This meets the requirement we set in minute 2007.9.2 so the Housing Committee is now authorized to spend funds on preliminary design.  The committee will continue to refine our “program” for the design and to meet with AMTP to find agreement on the terms for sharing the site.

11.4  Treasurers Report.  The treasurer reported that only $250 has been donated to our budget, and far more will be needed to help with the obligations we adopted with the last budget.

11.5  First Day School.  The First Day School class has been developing a web site to represent Concord Meeting.

11.6  Statistical Report.  The Meeting Recorder will need to file a statistical report with the Yearly Meeting, and asks again - should the Meeting membership be pruned.  We referred the question to the Care of the Meeting Committee, and ask them to present the question at a later business meeting.

Our meeting ended with a period of worshipful, grateful silence, purposing to meet again on the second First Day of Twelfth Month or at the call of the clerk.

Respectfully submitted,

/s/ Richard Kleinschmidt, Recording Clerk

Accepted as the approved record when signed,

/s/ Sara Smith, Clerk
