Concord Meeting Charitable Status

We have realized that Friends may need a special document. You may want to download it and tuck it in with your tax files. While the Meeting has an IRS assigned tax ID, that ID is not identified as charitable. While we are registered with the State of NH as a charity, the IRS recognizes our charitable status through what is called a group exemption letter held by New England Yearly Meeting. If your charitable deductions to the Meeting are ever questioned by the IRS this group exemption letter will be important for you to have

Draft Minutes from 2/13 Meeting for Business and Membership

The draft minutes of Sunday's Meeting for Worship for the Conduct of Business are available at https://www.concordfriendsmeeting.org/2022-02-13_CMM_Minutes. The major topic for our consideration was the land acknowledgement. We also welcomed Elaine into meeting membership! This is a good time to remind regular Meeting attendees to consider taking the step into membership. For more information about membership read this brochure and/or contact MinistryAndCounsel [at] ConcordFriendsMeeting [dot] org.

Fourth Sunday Programs-

February- Nominating committee is planning a program on discovering our gifts March- AFSC staff Maggie Fogarty and Grace Kendeke will talk about AFSC programs

April- program under discussion

Small Groups continue with one change. The book group formerly on Thursday mornings is moving to Tuesday evenings at 7:30 on zoom. We will be reading and discussing “belonging” by bell hooks. This is part personal memoir and part social examination of how the place we live affects us.

There is some interest in having a book group meet on a different night so let us know if that is something that interests you and we can help get that going. No book has been decided on.

All NH Friends Gathering – Saturday, February 26, 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM, via Zoom:

Zoom in to the All NH Friends Gathering to learn and share what Quaker Meetings are doing to move toward right relationship with Native Peoples in our communities.
